Listed below are descriptions of various music ministries at work here at Zion. People of all ages are encouraged to get involved. For adults with children, child care is provided for evening rehearsals.

The Adult Choir:
Open to men and women who enjoy singing great choral repertoire. Standard choral repertoire and new works are incorporated into worship at the 8:00 or 9:30 services. The Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00.

The Men's Chorus:
Meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:45 in the Music Apse. The rehearsals are a great hour of fellowship and singing. The Men’s Chorus sings at the 8:00 or 9:30 services. (David Thamm director)

The Youth Choir:
Made of students in grades 6-12. Rehearsing on Thursdays at 6:00, the Youth Choir sings approximately once a month at 9:30 or 11:00 worship.

The Children's Choir:
Open to students in grades 2-5. Students learn to sing properly and use Orff instruments as well. Children sing approximately once a month at 9:30 or 11:00 worship. This group rehearses on Thursdays from 5:00 – 5:45 in the Music Apse.

The Brass Ensemble:
Open to intermediate and advanced brass players. The Brass Ensemble plays at the 8:00 or 9:30 services as well as Festival Sundays. The group rehearses on Monday evenings at 7:00. (David Thamm director)

The Handbell Choir:
Open to high school students and adults. Individual “ringers” play separate notes which all combine to make one beautiful melody. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 6:30. This group meets in the Sanctuary Balcony. (David Thamm director)

The Praise Team:
Open to singers and instrumentalists who enjoy more contemporary Christian music. The Praise Team helps lead 11:00 worship each Sunday. Although this group meets year round, members trade off weeks based on their availability. The group rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:30.
